Scorecards

These scorecards were done from scratch initially as PS files that I later converted to PDFs. Feel free to download them and use them as you like. I’d love to hear from you if you do use them.

The PDF file has two identical pages, one for each team. It has fields to score every pitch in the game.

If you have a printer capable of printing on both sides of the paper, simply send it to your printer as it is.

On a printer without double-side printing capabilities, you have to print the pages separately feeding the printer manually to get the second page on the other side of the paper.

The PDF has only one page. Just send it as it is to your printer. Turn off auto-centering and scaling in order to preserve dimensions and line weights. The PDF is optimized for 600dpi printer resolution.

This version is designed so that it can be folded in half, which makes it very convenient. I have a piece of thick cardboard cut to half letter size that I use as support when scoring at the ballpark. That plus pencil and a clip to hold everything together (in case it gets windy) is all you need.

With a little bit of work you can also build yourself a nice little notebook to carry around. Just print several sheets of paper with scorecards on both sides, add a letter-sized piece of cardboard as cover (the thiner kind is better), fold the bunch in half and staple it in the middle.

Be careful to print the sheets so that when you fold them the bottom and top halves are in the same direction. This probably don’t make much sense here, but if you print a couple of sheets and fold them you’ll see what I mean.

Happy scoring!!
